Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp

The Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp in Tanzania is located on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, close to the road leading into the crater. This puts you in the best position to drive quickly to the crater floor and be one of the first visitors to the crater early in the morning. Since the animals are more active in the morning than in the heat of the afternoon, this gives you a decisive advantage on your safari.

The camp is about one hour drive from Loduare Gate, and 3 ½ hours from Arusha town. It is accessed via 30 minutes road transfer from Lake Manyara Airport. This airport is 40 minutes flight from Arusha.

The 10 high-quality tents of the Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp have an attached bathroom with a shower. There are electric lights, a hair dryer and charging stations in the tent, and a small seating area in front of the tent.

The three large and comfortable communal tents provide a dining area, a lounge and a bar. All of the main areas include breath taking views of the spectacular surrounding scenery and large trees. For a more intimate experience you can choose to dine on individual tables set in special spots around the camp.
