Tarangire Public Campsite No.1

Situated within the Tarangire National Park, the Public Campsite are situated 5km from the main park gate and about 1 km north of Tarangire River. Managed by the TANAPA, it has clean toilets and showers, there is a cooking area and water is brought by trucks and should be used sparingly.

It is positioned near the border of the park, but as the park is not fenced, it still feels like you are in the middle of the wilderness. Animals such as elephants and buffalo regularly wander right through the campsite.
