I hiked Mt Kilimanjaro with a group of 7 friends in September 2016. The Popote team were well organised, efficient and great fun throughout the entire trip! I really struggled to make the summit due to altitude sickness but the Popote guides and porters patiently supported me to make slow and steady progress up and eventually reach the summit – for this I cannot thank them enough!

The Popote team were kind and professional throughout, the food was excellent and the porters were good fun with their singing and dancing! I highly recommend Popote to climb Mt Kili!

We went for a short safari trip for 03 days to Arusha as we wanted to cover Zanzibar as well. Although the time was less to cover every place still Popote arranged it quite professionally. They were recommended to us by our friend as she had an awesome Kilimanjaro climbing trip with them. We corresponded with Sabino over emails and I must say that he has an eye for detail and gave us the perfect itinerary as per our expectations . Our driver and guide Victor was quite experienced and friendly and made our trip memorable . The last day was the best day as we saw so many lions one after the other . Also our cook was quite good . They have affordable prices and the services are up to the mark . Overall they made our short trip worth remembering 🙂 .

I highly recommend Popote Africa Adventures.

First, I heard about Popote thru word of mouth. As a female, solo traveler first time traveling in East Africa, I felt safe booking with them. Sabi, accommodated my last minute Umbwe route. Florian, the guide, made sure I’ll successfully summit Uhuru and I did! If you are looking for the best price Kili and safari adventure, Popote is so worth the experience.

Sabino and his team are very professional and very welcoming. First of all, they were on time to pick me up at the airport, which is nice. As i was travelling alone, the night before the hike, the manager, Evans, even took me out for dinner in Moshi and explained me everything i needed to know about hiking on the Kilimanjaro.

For the hike itself, everything went smoothly. I took the machame route. I had planned for six days but as i had good pace, i was able to cut it short to five. The trick is to go at your own pace. You will need to push yourself a bit on the last hike to the summit but its worth it.

I was with a young, dynamic guide, Imran, And the rest of the team was amazing as well. Very caring. Nice guys,

Note: You will get plenty of fresh and tasty food (breakfast, lunch, snacks, dinner) during your hike.

I can only recommend these guys !
