About 1-Day Safari

This day safari trip is ideal for individuals who are curious to get a taste of safari or are simply limited by time. Depending on the time of the year and your preferences, we will take you to either Lake Manyara, Tarangire or Ngorongoro crater. You will get the chance to see a variety of animals, including the “big four animals” (lion, leopard, elephant, and buffalo). 

Along the way you will also see extremely picturisque views such as that of Lake Manyara and the escarpment that rises up or the jaw-dropping sight of the 20 km wide Ngorongoro crater that is home to many big animals. You will get a glimpse of authentic Maasai villages along the way. This day trip will involve a lot of driving.

ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK

Just 40 minutes from Arusha, Arusha National Park is home to Africa’s largest giraffe population and is great for walking and canoe safaris. After breakfast, your guide will pick you up for game drives and wildlife viewing. Canoe and walking safaris are available for an extra cost. You’ll return to Arusha in the late afternoon.

LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive with a picnic lunch. Enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment and pass through Mto Wa Mbu. You’ll have morning and afternoon game drives and visit the “Maji Moto” hot spring before departing for Arusha in the late afternoon.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha, you’ll depart around 8 am for a 2-hour drive to Tarangire. On arrival, you’ll enjoy a game drive in this park, known for its baobab trees, diverse wildlife, and large elephant population. After a picnic lunch, you’ll drive back to Arusha, arriving around 5:00 pm to conclude your safari.

NGORONGORO CRATER

At dawn, depart Arusha for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the caldera after signing in and pause at the viewing area for stunning vistas. Known for its wildlife, including black rhinos and cape buffalo, enjoy a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. Return to Arusha in the late afternoon after a memorable five-hour tour.

Safari prices depend a lot on the quality of accommodation chosen, whether it is located inside a national park or outside, the number of people in the vehicle, and the time of travel.

Day safari trips can cost between $205 – $890 per person, depending on the national park visited and the number of participants per vehicle.

Entry fees:

• Park Fees: all park fees collected by Kilimanjaro National Park (conservation fees, camping fees, crew fees, vehicle fee, rescue fee and all others).

Taxes:
